I have seen instances of ironic, almost self deprecating designs such as these in the past, and have a hard time deciding how I feel about them. The bold colors are reminiscent of elementary school paint class, and that playful attitude might add to the beer’s whole aura. Aside from the red, blue, yellow, and green, the white label itself seems almost separate from the bottle it is attached to. Does its stilted font choice and blob-like artwork make it even more sophisticated, in a self-aware way? I have been going back and forth on my position here, but most of the time I am convincing myself to give it the benefit of the doubt, rather than the other way around.
