Liana Finck is a cartoonist/author that I have been following on Instagram for quite a while now, but it just recently dawned on me why her seemingly simple line drawn cartoons are so relatable. As Susan Kare explains in her artist talk, a realistic drawing of a face prompts the viewer to see someone else, but a cartoon face prompts the viewer to see themself in the picture.

Finck does a great job of making her cartoons so generally drawn that anyone could picture it as themselves. Attached below are some of my favorite cartoons that she has created.
