Keep ‘em waiting: 7 loading page designs that make waiting (almost) fun

Thinking about our Looping Loading GIF, this article gave me some insight about how designers plan waiting spaces. One thing that the article mentioned that stood out to me was that sometimes it can be better to have the loading design present longer than the page actually takes to load. An example is that Turbo Tax does this because the longer loading time gives consumer the idea that their data is being accurately reported.
