On June 30 this year, Oskar Stålberg released Townscaper on Steam. Townscaper is a game that allows users to build and design cities or towns of their liking. When I saw this game, I was immediately reminded of Calvino’s Invisible Cities. I remember seeing that other people in the class wrote blog posts about how an artist illustrated Calvino’s cities. I wonder if Townscaper can be used to visualize Calvino’s cities or to just help in envisioning, designing, and creating other 3-D city-like landscapes.
