This past week we talked about the importance of type in written communication, especially with ease-of-reading. In light of the upcoming election and talks of voter suppression, this article highlights how poor ballot design can make it difficult for voters to chose their preferred candidate. In the Bush vs Gore election, the arrangement of text on ballots made it easy for individuals to accidentally vote for the opposing candidate.
