I came across this series of still life images and it reminded me of our current class project. What struck me about these abstract images was the idea of deconstruction and reconstruction that is at the core of each of these works. The artist’s intention behind these designs was to repurpose common objects into complex designs by destroying the original objects, mixing textures, sizes, shapes, and combining with other materials.
I love this take on still life and these works encouraged me to think more outside of the box when it comes to the classic “still life” design.
