Thinking about our upcoming project regarding collecting and representing data, I found this article that talks about different ways to represent data. Although the article is kind of long, I found the “Style” section in the middle the most helpful , where it talks about how using colors and shapes can be used to represent different categories or quantities (ex. shade of a color on a map).
