Face Cages is an installation and performance artwork by Zach Blas and features other artists micha cárdenas, Elle Mehrmand, and Paul Mpagi Sepuya. It explores how computational biometric diagrams reduce the complexity of human faces and how biometrics can lead to policing and discrimination. The way Zach Blas explores how data can discriminate reminded me a lot of Ruha Benjamin’s talk on technology and racism. Here is a link for more information about Zach Blas’s work with Face Cages.
