This is an interesting video about how the poor design of some cue cards for awards shows have caused announcers to announce incorrect winners. One of the most viral of these mistakes was at the 2017 Oscars in which La La Land was announced as winning Best Picture when in reality, the winner was Moonlight. The video presents a redesigned cue card that may have prevented the mix up from happening. The video also includes a fascinating overview of a redesigned pill bottle created by designer Deborah Adler that addresses some issues of the commonly used round pill bottle (i.e. difficult to read the label, easy to mistakenly take the wrong medication because all bottles look the same, etc.). Overall, very cool video that encourages further thought about the design of the world around us.
